Circa Late 19th century. Incredible shield and crown brooch with stunning silver work. This large, unique and handmade shield features an impressive scroll design. The brooch is set with 6 bezel set cabochon coral stones. A top the shield is a crown centered with a fleur de lis. On the reverse there is a hallmark of 00. And then a separate stamp of an 8 within an oval.
This substantial brooch weights 40 grams and measures 6 x 5 centimeters.
